Panasonic, the official Digital Still Camera sponsor for the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games, presented a Lumix DMC-FT2 waterproof camera to 12-year-old Low Wei Jie and his family. The newspaper reported earlier that he damaged his mother's camera during the rain as he followed some 15 km of the Youth Olympic Flame torch relay. His passion and spontaneity captured the hearts of many people in Singapore. "This gift is a small token from us to enable him to capture more historic moments at the Youth Olympic Games regardless of how bad the weather might be," said Christopher Lim, Manager, Corporate Communications Group of Panasonic Asia Pacific.
