Panasonic Reports it Exceeds Green Targets

Panasonic not only achieved, but exceeded its Eco Ideas targets set for October 2008 through to March 2010. Panasonic has reduced CO2 emissions by 34% or 21,400 tons by the end of March 2010 in its European manufacturing operations, while the aim for 2009 was to reduce 10% or 6,000 tons. During the period, 20 of its product categories achieved Panasonic's top class environmental performance status of Superior Green Product and Panasonic Europe initiated more than 40 eco-related activities and gained participation from more than 3,000 Panasonic employees.
