Panasonic develops environmental friendly products

JAKARTA - Panasonic is committed to developing environmentally friendly products in Indonesia as part of its effort to reduce CO2 emissions.  It also plans to make Indonesia as a production base for such products to meet the demand of domestic and export markets.  The commitment was addressed by Panasonic President Fumio Ohtsubo during his meeting with Vice President Boediono of Indonesia on Wednesday.  Rachmat Gobel, Chairman of Panasonic Gobel Indoensia, also attended the meeting, which was held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the cooperation between the Gobel Group and Panasonic.  (Similar reports by the Jakarta Post, Jakarta Globe, Tempo Interactive.com and Xinhua)
