Panasonic Debuts First Consumer 3D HD Camcorder at U.S. Open
PC World, Robert S. Anthony, 3 September 2010, Panasonic showcased the capabilities of its first handheld consumer-grade 3D camcorder, the HDC-SDT750, at a press event held at the National Tennis Center, the home of the U.S. Open tennis tournament. Compared to the professional-grade AG-3DA1, the HDC-SDT750 is far smaller but shares some of its larger sibling's technology such as Panasonic's 3MOS sensor system. The 3D effect from the small unit was clear and so convincing that some of the journalists tried to reach out when they were able to see themselves in 3D on a large HDTV connected to the unit. The U.S. Open will be shown in 3D over the Labor Day weekend and during the final weekend.
