Panasonic Best Serves Working Women: Survey
Panasonic has been selected as the firm that best responds to working women's needs, a recent survey shows. The Nikkei Institute of Industry and Regional Economy, asked nearly 10,000 women with jobs to choose multiple companies among 79 firms -- mainly in such sectors as electronics, automobiles, food and retail -- in terms of how suitable their products are for working women. Panasonic was chosen by the leading 63% of women in managerial posts, significantly above Starbucks (36%), and Japanese food merchandiser Kewpie (32%). Female executives like Panasonic products such as drum-type washer-dryer sets and stylish massage sofas, which can help them with their chores or ease their fatigue. Regarding the electronics makers, Panasonic was followed by Sharp (around 30%), Apple (around 20%), Sony (below 20%) and Canon (around 10%).
